Privacy
This notice covers protectorium.com. It does not cover the Protectorium platform, which is governed by the agreement a customer signs before using it. The site is operated by Lev Menshchikov, who decides how what you send through it is used and answers for it at info@protectorium.com.
What this site collects
Nothing, until you send us something. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no script, font, or image from anyone but us. There is no tracking pixel and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
If you use the contact form or join the waitlist, we receive what you typed into it: your name, your work email address, your company, and your role. With it we record which of the two you used, when it arrived, and how long the form was open before you sent it. That last one helps us tell a person from an automated script. Nothing else is inferred about you.
Our server keeps ordinary access logs — the requesting address, the page asked for, the time, and the user agent — which we use to keep the site running and to understand how much traffic it gets.
To stop the form being used to flood us, the address you send from and the email address you give are also held for one hour after a submission, then discarded.
Why we have it, and what we do with it
We use what you send to reply to you, to write to you about the waitlist if you joined it, and to talk about whether Protectorium is useful to your organisation. That is the only purpose.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have never done either, and there is no mechanism on this site that could.
We do not send a newsletter. If we ever do, it will be something you ask for, not something a form opts you into.
Who else sees it
A submission is stored in our own database and copied into our customer record system. Both run on our own server rather than on a vendor's.
One outside processor is involved: Resend, an email delivery service, which carries a notification of your submission, including what you typed, to our inbox. It keeps a record of that delivery under its own retention terms and handles nothing else of yours.
We disclose personal information to no one else, other than where the law requires it of us.
How long we keep it
Our database deletes a submission automatically twelve months after it arrives. Backups of it are kept for thirty days, so a deleted submission is gone from them a month later.
The record in our customer record system, and the notification in our inbox, are kept while we are in conversation with you. We review them at least once a year and delete them when that conversation has ended, unless you have become a customer, in which case the agreement covers what we hold and for how long.
You can ask us to delete any of it sooner, at any time.
Access logs are kept for as long as they are useful for operating the site, and no longer.
Your rights
Write to info@protectorium.com and we will act on any of these: tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to create an account to do it.
If you are in California, those are your rights to know, to access, to correct, and to delete, and your right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We have no sale or sharing of personal information to opt out of.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the same requests are your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. We rely on our legitimate interest in replying to a business enquiry as the basis for handling what you send us.
An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf if they can show you asked them to.
Security
Submissions travel over TLS and are stored on infrastructure we run ourselves, apart from the notification described above. Access to them is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
No system is beyond reach. If a breach ever affects what you sent us, we will tell you and the relevant authority within the time the law allows.
Children
This site is for people doing their jobs. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not make changes retroactive to information we have already collected.
